Worshiping Christ together
Children and youth attend worship with their family for the beginning part of the worship service in the sanctuary. Our Children's Choir performs carefully selected songs each Sunday. Then the young people of the church are invited to the front to be with Rev. Dr. Linden DeBie for a special time together: the always delightful Children's Message. After the message, preschool through middle school students leave for an exciting Sunday School experience in classes geared to their ages. High school students remain with the congregation during the worship service. The Sunday School children also participate in the Christmas pageant with original music, and on Sunday School Sunday, they lead the entire church in worship.

Our mission in Christ
The Board of Christian Education at the Community Church of Douglaston is committed to emphasizing the basics of Christian belief for our children at the beginning of a life process of faith development. The process is rewarded in the peace and joy of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and the accompanying enrichment in relationships with God's world, the Church, and God's family.
